Corporate Social Responsibility

3 Credit Hours

This course provides students with decision-making frameworks and practical tools for anticipating, critically analyzing, and appropriately responding to the social, ethical, and political challenges managers face when operating in a global economy. Because corporate social responsibility in practice requires that a corporation address both business goals and society's expectations, students examine the concept that modern corporations have a responsibility beyond providing profit to shareholders: to create value for soceity and a diverse group of stakeholders.
